Business Building & Giving: How to Engage Clients in the Philanthropic Conversation For many high net worth clients, charitable giving is something they are already doing. However, planning is the key to amplifying both philanthropic impact and their personal fulfillment. Paul Nazareth from the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) will share insight into the current landscape of Canadian philanthropy and where your clients are already engaged here in Saskatchewan, Canada and globally. We will discuss and share case studies–more than just tax benefits–more importantly, how to have ‘The Philanthropic Conversation’. Learn how you can engage your client in conversations about personal legacy, asset based giving, and estate planning so you can share and shape your client’s vision. Learn how a community foundation can be your partner in serving your client’s philanthropic intentions. Participants will leave with: – A conversation roadmap to more deeply engage with current clients and add value for them as a philanthropic advisor; – Ways to grow your book of business, engage new clients through the philanthropic conversation, and identify which products fall into this strategy (life Insurance, securities, etc.); – A better understanding of new trends in philanthropy (advised funds, crowdfunding, social-impact movements etc.) and new data on giving, wealth and inheritance in Canada; How the community foundation movement is evolving to meet these trends and needs as your partner, empowering your clients’ philanthropic vision, and supporting your business health and growth. |
