Statement
We build a vibrant and inclusive community by acknowledging and addressing the many biases that exclude in our society.
We work to:
- remove biases within our organization,
- break down systemic barriers, and;
- strengthen equity among those who are a part of the Saskatoon Community Foundation.
We will:
- be guided by inclusive practices and principles for our policy, procedures and decision making and;
- champion a fairer environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.
Saskatoon Community Foundation DEI Model and Action Steps
To support our efforts in DEI, this model was created as a reflection of how equity is viewed on the Values-Based Framework and how it translates to the Saskatoon Community Foundation’s definition of diversity, equity and inclusion. The action steps identified in each box outline future initiatives and potential milestones.
This model was built based on insights from discussions and past initiatives. The pillars identified – Inclusion, Accountability, Fairness – have been extracted from the 2021 Vital Signs report.
