Cameco Fund for Mental Health- PORT HOPE

Did you know that 49% of Canadians feel they’ve suffered from anxiety or depression but have never sought help?

It’s time to Step Up for Mental Health!

On May 25, 2019, the 8th Annual Cameco Charity Golf Tournament raised $30,000 for the Cameco Fund for Mental Health. On September 28, 2019, over 400 runners and walkers laced up for the inaugural Step Up for Mental Health 5K in Port Hope. Their efforts helped raise $38,000 for mental health initiatives. Every dollar from registration fees, plus a matching amount from Cameco, supported the Cameco Fund for Mental Health.

All funds will be disbursed to organizations undertaking projects that promote or protect mental health in Northumberland County.

Applications for funding will be adjudicated by a panel that includes local mental health professionals and representatives from Cameco.
