Ian is retired after a career that included several senior management positions. In the trust industry he was regional manager for a trust company. In healthcare, he was Vice President responsible for the Medical Affairs Division of a major teaching hospital. He also served as project manager for the initiative that established Telehealth Saskatchewan and was a member of steering committees that set up Saskatchewan’s Health Help Line and the Western Canadian Children’s Heart Network.
Ian is an active volunteer in the community and serves on our Foundation’s Investment, Governance, and Audit and Finance committees. He is Past President of the Meewasin Rotary Club, and served on several Rotary committees at the club and district level. He is a Past Chair of the TCU Place Board and Past Chair of the SaskTel Centre Board. He served on the board of Habitat for Humanity including a term as Vice Chair. He has served as a leader in Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
He was an active supporter of his profession serving as a volunteer on several Saskatchewan Association of Health Organization’s committees including past chair of the employee benefits committee (Now SHEPP). The Committee managed what is now a $5.9-billion-dollar pension fund
Ian and his wife Meredith have two children and has lived in Saskatoon for thirty four years
