Skene – Isaac Family Fund

High school sweethearts Bob Skene and Marjorie Isaac met in November 1954. Bob obtained a degree in Science in Mechanical Engineering and Marjorie graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. They married in May 1960.

Bob and Marjorie have three children, Rodney, Lisa, and Danielle. Bob continued his career in Operations and Corporate Financial Planning with Canadian National until retirement in December 1989. In January 1990, Bob was tired of retirement, so he accepted a teaching position in the Engineering Technologies program at CEGEP John Abbott and continued until his second retirement in 1996. During this time Marjorie was a housewife, mother, neighborhood caregiver, teacher, and bookkeeper. She retired from A.C. Leslie, a steel fabricator, in 1998.

The Skene-Isaac Family Fund, a Donor Advised Fund, was established to assist people in serious situations and spur friends and family to contribute to worthwhile endeavors.
