Bo Østerberg Kristensen

Bo Østerberg Kristensen is the Vice President of Information Technology at Canpotex Limited in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Canpotex plays a vital role in global food security by supplying potash that helps farmers increase crop yields and produce higher-quality crops per acre. Bo’s leadership at Canpotex supports the company’s mission to consistently deliver top-quality Canadian potash to international partners now and into the future.

With over 30 years of hands-on leadership experience, Bo is recognised for his ability to steer organisations that offer value-added services and generate significant business value. His approach combines strategic vision with practical implementation, ensuring effective management and growth in every position he assumes.

Bo brings extensive board experience to his professional pursuits. From 2010 to 2012, he served as treasurer at Interskolen in Aarhus, Denmark. He continued his board roles as chair at Qissartoq in Nuuk, Greenland, from 2012 to 2016. Between 2020 and 2024, Bo co-led KPMG’s National Indigenous People’s Network across Canada, as well as serving as the Community Impact Lead in Regions West at KPMG, which earned him the KPMG National Social Impact Award in both 2020 and 2021. He also served on KPMG’s Council for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity from 2022 to 2024. In 2019, Bo was elected to the Board of Elmwood Residences in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and has been the Board Chair since 2023. Bo is also a Board Member at Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation in Saskatoon. In recognition of his community contributions, Bo received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2023.

Bo lives in Saskatoon with his wife, Melina, and their daughter, Kym.
