Important dates for 2023 year-end gifts
With Saskatoon Community Foundation, you can give back to the community you love. There are many flexible giving options available to you, whether you want your gift to make an impact right away or you want to create a lasting legacy.
Making a strategic gift of cash, stock, or securities through Saskatoon Community Foundation enables you to receive a tax receipt for the full amount, eliminating possible capital gains taxes associated with the stock. It is easy to work with our professional staff to make a donation of securities and provide financial support for one or more charities of your choice.

Here are some important deadlines for 2023 year-end giving and charitable receipts.
1. Securities transfer deadline
If you intend to donate securities from your investment portfolio and would like a 2023 charitable receipt, please ensure you speak with your financial advisor early and send us your transfer form no later than December 15, 2023 at the end of the business day.
Submit your completed transfer form to Donor Relations and Grants Coordinator Krys Hertzke at donorservices@saskatooncommunityfoundation.ca or you may contact her by phone at 306-665-1754.
2. Donations by cheque
If you wish to donate by cheque and would like a 2023 charitable receipt, please ensure your mailed cheque is postmarked no later than December 31, 2023. Cheques mailed later will receive a charitable receipt for the following year.
You may also drop off your cheque to our office no later than 12:00 noon on December 29, 2023.

3. Online donations
You may also make a gift online to support a fund of your choice. Use the CanadaHelps secure online giving page, select the fund, and provide your instructions. The deadline is December 31, 2023 at 11:59 pm in order to be eligible for a 2023 charitable receipt.
