Bob Jeanneau’s years of volunteer work is recognized by the Saskatoon B’nai Brith.
The Saskatoon B’nai Brith has presented the award annually since 1971. According to a media release, the award “is intended to nurture and encourage individuals to follow the exemplary dedication of an individual who makes our community a better place for everyone, and who has not yet been recognized for their selfless commitment to help others.”
Jeanneau played a key role in leading the Knights of Columbus Charities for three decades.
In that time, he helped develop the Columbian Manor, a faith-based affordable housing complex for seniors. He oversaw two major expansions at the manor during his tenure and, in fact, continues to serve as a volunteer responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility.
“Mr. Jeanneau’s remarkable journey of volunteerism has been instrumental in shaping Saskatoon’s senior community,” the media release said. “His ability to identify needs, mobilize resources, and drive meaningful change is an inspiration to us all.
“Through his selfless efforts, Bob has helped transform Saskatoon into a truly great community, one where seniors can age with dignity and grace.”
B’nai Brith is Canada’s oldest independent Jewish human rights organization. Its goal is to end racism, antisemitism and hatred, and to stand up for the rights of the marginalized in communities.
