Derek Arnold Memorial Fund

For almost thirty years, Arnold’s Clothes Shop in downtown Saskatoon attracted a loyal clientele; the main reason for this loyalty was the man behind the business, Derek Arnold. Saskatoon born and raised, Derek was known for his sense of humour and upbeat personality, his no-nonsense business acumen, and his unabashed loved of family, friends and community. He established his store in 1956. Through the years he built up his business, raised a family of three boys, and played an active role in the community. He served on many local boards and associations, including the Board of Trade, Crime Stoppers, Kinsmen Elmwood Lodge, Royal Trust Advisory Board, Saskatoon Club, Saskatoon Public School Board, Saskatoon Kinsmen Club and K-40 Club. He was also an early member of the Saskatoon Foundation Board. In recognition of his commitment to Saskatoon and his interest in helping young people, The Derek Arnold Memorial Fund will be used to support programs for Children and Youth.
