After a number of years of donating to various charities that have struck a chord with their family, Kevin Hegedus and Dana Mann have recently taken what they consider the “next logical step,” creating their own family fund through Saskatoon Community Foundation. The Hegedus and Mann Family Fund for Children will also be used to educate their children, Eden and Luke, about the many benefits that can be derived from being charitable and from helping people in need. After family discussions of several options, the family felt that the grant in the first year should go to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan. Kevin and Dana are extremely proud of their family’s interest in this initiative and are looking forward to years of building their sense of community foundation mission to enhance the quality of life in our community by strategically making grants to charitable organizations offering food security programs, community theatre, adult literacy programs, summer environmental camps, programs for seniors, and many more worthwhile community initiatives. The Hegedus and Mann Family Fund for Children will accept donations from outside their family. However, Kevin and Dana do encourage prospective donors to contact them for more information if they are interested in establishing their own legacy in the form of a fund or foundation.
