Joyce and Keith Douglas Fund

Having been born and raised in Saskatoon, Keith, feels the time has come to give something to the organizations that contribute to the good and welfare of those less fortunate.

Keith took his grade school and high school education in Saskatoon and then began a 40-year working career with Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance, retiring in 1989. “My life worked out well,” Keith comments. “I was blessed with wonderful parents, a great wife, and was fortunate to become a stepfather and grandfather.”
A few years ago Wes Heinrichs, a member of The Saskatoon Foundation Board, met with Keith to explain The Foundation’s philosophy and the needs of the community. Some time later, Keith, met with his financial advisor and lawyer to discuss his estate plans.

“It was important to me to have my donations put to work here, in my community;’ says Keith. “I feel that I made a good decision to live in Saskatoon and work here. I still am of the opinion that Saskatoon is a marvelous place to live.”
