Sheppard Family Youth Music Fund

Inspired by a life-long love of music and a desire to ensure young people have access to music education, the intent of the Sheppard Family Youth Music Fund is to support a broad range of youth music programs with a preference, but not an exclusivity, for inner city youth. The Fund will support group or individual music education with a bias to instrumental versus vocal. More specifically, the Sheppard Family Youth Music Fund will accept applications from qualified recipients (registered charities, qualified donees as defined by Canada Revenue Agency) for expenses related to the following:

  • Instruction, teaching, adjudication
  • Performance, rentals, promotion
  • Travel, accommodation, band camps
  • Musical instruments, or related musical gear
  • Musical instrument repairs and tuning
  • Music scores, uniforms
  • Registrations, tuition, fees
  • Bursaries
