Idylwyld Park in Nutana is one of the city’s oldest and most cherished green spaces, serving generations of families, neighbors, and visitors. Located directly along the Meewasin Trail, the park’s playground is a well-used destination not only for local residents but also for people from across the city who walk, cycle, and explore the riverbank year-round.
Unfortunately, the current play structures have reached the end of their usable life. They are increasingly worn and no longer meet the safety, accessibility, or play needs of today’s children and caregivers. An upgrade is urgently needed to ensure the playground remains a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space.
This fund has been established to support the replacement of the existing equipment with a modern, accessible playground designed for children of all ages and abilities. The vision is to create a vibrant gathering place where families can rest, play, and connect; where caregivers can meet; and where the broader community can come together in a shared public space.
By contributing to this fund, donors are investing in the long-term health and vitality of Idylwyld Park. Together, we can ensure this beloved playground continues to serve as a place of joy, connection, and community for generations to come.
