Through her long and courageous battle with cancer, Alice Molloy remained strongly committed to her family, career, the community and especially those less fortunate than her. To pay tribute to Alice’s memory and continue the vital community work she found so important, the Molloy family established the Alice Molloy Fund in 1996. Over the years, the fund has granted thousands of dollars through Saskatoon Community Foundation’s granting programs.
On July 2, 2019, Tom Molloy passed away from pancreatic cancer. Serving as Saskatchewan’s Lieutenant Governor at the time of his death and admired across the country for his distinguished legal career, Saskatoon Community Foundation had the honour of knowing Tom as a board member, as well as a donor and supporter.
Individually and together, Tom and Alice Molloy have made a lasting impact on Saskatoon, on Saskatchewan, and on Canada. To continue to honour the legacy of their work and commitment to community, the fund will now be named the Tom and Alice Molloy Fund. Contributions to this unrestricted fund will support a broad spectrum of community needs in keeping with the spirit of kindness and giving of the Molloys.
